Buhari working to be Nigeria's last president

A king that transformed a jungle to a city will forever be remembered, at the same time, a king that turned a city into jungle forever would not be forgotten.
The way things are going, it is obvious that many nations are likely to emerge from Nigeria. When the histories of such nations that were hitherto Nigeria would be written, one name that would be scrolled in bold prints is President Muhammadu Buhari for presiding and writing the epitaph of ones a country.
In this vein, “There was a country”, the last book of late literary icon, Prof Chinua Achebe becomes prophetic.
When in the early 2000, it was alleged that the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) had predicted that Nigeria would fragment in 2015, there was palpable tension in the country especially in

Yorubas are the problem with Nigeria – Lamido Sanusi, do you agree?

Now read carefully and understand why Lamido Sanusi made the statement before you draw
your own conclusion. In sum, the Yoruba political leadership, as mentioned by Balarabe Musa, has shown itself over the years to be incapable of rising above narrow tribal interests and reciprocating goodwill from other sections of the country by treating other groups with respect. Practically every crisis in Nigeria since independence has its roots in this attitude.
    •    The Yoruba elite and area-boy politics;
    •    Igbo marginalisation and the responsible limits of retribution; and
    •    The Yoruba Factor and “Area-boy” Politics.
My views on the Yoruba political leadership have been thoroughly articulated in some of my writings, prime among which was ” Afenifere: Syllabus of Errors” published by This Day (The Sunday Newspaper) on Sept 27, 1998. There was also an earlier publication in the weekly Trust

Kurds ready for new oil deal with Baghdad if they get $1 billion a month

Iraq's Kurds said they are ready to strike an agreement with the central government in Baghdad on a deal to increase oil exports if it guarantees them monthly revenue of $1 billion, more than double what they make currently from selling oil.
The Iraqi central government in March stopped oil exports through a Kurdish pipeline to pressure the local authorities to resume talks about an oil revenue-sharing agreement.
Iraq's state-run North Oil Company normally exported 150,000 barrels a day through the pipeline that comes out at the Mediterranean port of Ceyhan, in Turkey. The pipeline also carries oil produced in the Kurdish region in northern Iraq and sold independently from the central government.
Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) spokesman Safeen Dizayee said in an interview in the Iraqi Kurdish capital Erbil on Tuesday that the Kurdish authorities would be willing to sell the oil through Baghdad if they received a share from the federal budget amounting to $1 billion a month.

One must come to equity with clean hands

Look at how myopic and pedestrian an educated Nigerians can be in the name of followership. So because Ibe kachukwu disagreed with Ameachi, which even under scrutiny, one may still not be so confident to state that Kachikwu was right in his own submission, have left some saying he has a Governorship ambition. Sometimes I wonder why we claim we are literate..
Did they not teach us that one must come to equity with clean hands.
In our ignorance we tend to be masters of one Nigeria in a context call Nigeria. We love to stand at the gate of justice against our brothers while we turn blind eyes once it's the turn of others. A man questions why 13 billion naira was used to acquire a community land but never questions why he himself erected electric poles in Port Harcourt with 45 billion.
